Lesson plans for Night unit.
Colors and stigmas: I like this lesson as a way to introduce the novel and really generate some background knowledge. Again, I'm not entirely convinced to do it for a week long, but a day or two I think would be a great way to kick it off.
Poetry: I really like the idea of the student creating their own poetry about the Holocaust. I want to include Holocaust poetry, so I'd want to follow the layout for this one pretty closely, maybe just omit the museum stuff.
Socratic Questioning: This is such a great activity. I think it offers enough structure to get the kids started and I love that it focuses on particular times in the book.
This I believe: I did a unit on this in observation. I think it's a very powerful tool, and I think ending the unit with this could be a great lead into a final project for the unit.
