War of the Worlds Lesson Plan

Overview: I like the procedure stuff. It was pulling in some of the other texts I was already thinking about, so I would pull some of those days.

Activities: I've been to this site a couple times now. I love the ideas that they have to break up constant reading.

Daily Lessons: This is also from bookrags.com. I'm sold on the different objectives and flexibility.

As I Lay Dying Lesson Plans

5 Lesson Plans: I really like the ideas and focuses of these lesson plans. I think they'll foster deeper thinking.

Related Poetry: Have students draw connections between texts

House on Mango Street Lesson Plans

Unit plan: There are a lot of great resources in here for me to use since it is an entire unit.

3 day lesson plan: A little lower in level, so I'd have to make some adjustments for skill but I really like the time length

Human Rights: This is an awesome lesson plan. I definitely want to incorporate the final essay portion.

Ender's Game Lesson Plans

Character Lesson Plan: I like this for the idea of mapping characters. I could see introducing some worksheets to help them map it and use it to create analysis for the end.

Morality Spectrum: I think this could be really interesting. Issues of morality are great for discussion.

Everything: This is basically anything I could ever want to do with Ender's Game.

Looking for Alaska

Lesson plans for the Looking for Alaska unit.

Book Talks: I really like the book talk topics in this. The list of major themes are also a nice touch.

Lots of Lesson Plans: The thing I really like about the idea of these lesson plans is the integration of technology and the media. I could easily see myself using almost all of these. One thing that I thought works really well is some of the other TV shows that work on similar themes.

As You Like It Lesson Plans

Lesson plans for the As You Like It unit.

Is a Sentence a Poem?: I think this would work pretty well to help introduce some of Shakespeare's style.

Introduction: This is seriously such a cool idea to start looking at the characters. I love that students will be able to make predictions about what will happen and work in group settings before discussing as a class.

Fun Activities: I think having these on hand will really help to spice up discussions if conversation slows down or just to break up the monotony.

Daily Lesson Plans: With the objectives, I think this would be really useful. I also like how they give different ways to obtain that objective.
